Mushroom Foraging Hike

Learn about how to ethically and sustainably harvest mushrooms on Madeline Island. Build awareness about upper midwest weather patterns, phenology, habitat, and safe harvesting techniques. Gain skills on how to store, preserve and prepare your harvested mushrooms. Finding mushrooms is not guaranteed. Contact Samantha to book your foraging hike!

Individual- $25 per hour
Small Group- $100 per hour (up to 5 people, all ages)

Large Group- $200 per hour (6-10 people, all ages)

Ages 3-5 Outdoor Education: Nature Play

Offering programming to ages 3-5 in an outdoor setting. Focus is unstructured nature play and the goal is for children to experience a variety of activities that will inspire exploration, cooperation, creative thinking, and problem solving.

Paddleboarding & Sea Kayaking: 
Water Safety on Lake Superior

Offering programming to ages 4 and up at Big Bay Town Park. Students will spend time learning about weather and water safety on land before embarking on a near shore excursion learning the basic skills to paddle board (ages 3-8) and sea kayaking (ages 9+). This program in the past years has partnered with the Madeline Island Library's Summer Recreation Program.
